September 2023 Newsletter
Here’s our news and information for September.
Info & updates
We hope you all had a lovely summer. A warm welcome to our new families and welcome back to our returning children.
· Please remember a healthy lunchbox no chocolate, crisps or juice. We provide milk and water at lunchtimes as well as spoons for yogurt.
· Snack reminder, please make sure morning snack is just fruit and in a separate pot to your child’s lunch box and put in their bag as the children are getting confused why they can’t eat their lunch at snack time.
· Try to avoid packing single use plastic to help us as a plastic free setting.
· Please label everything you can.
· Any donations of paper or old wall paper for children to draw on will be much appreciated.
· A like or comment on tapestry so we know you have received it is lovely J please speak to Holly if you cannot access Tapestry.
· Please no wellies or shoe laces and no open toes for safety reasons.
· Any old Birthday/Christmas cards we would love to have them for the children to cut up.
Change of staff
We will be saying goodbye to Julia as she starts a new adventure, we wish her all the best.
Say hello to Sammie who is joining the team, please give her a wave and make her feel at home.
Uniform
If you would like to purchase uniform please ask a member of staff we have plenty of stock at Pre-School, tops are £11 and jumpers are £12.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our AGM is coming up in October (letter to follow), everyone is welcome to attend. If you would like to take on the position of a pre-school charity trustee, bringing any valuable skills with you, then please indicate your interest. Parental support is essential to keep the pre-school running as a charitable organisation. In offering your support as a trustee, the role will require three meetings a year to ensure that the pre-school continues to run within the guidelines required by the Memorandum of Articles of Association.
Photographer
Darmanin Studios will be visiting the Pre-School on Tuesday 3rd October to take individual portrait pictures of your children. If this is not usually your child’s day to attend Pre-School, you are welcome to bring them in to have their photograph taken between 9-10am, letter to follow.

Reminder for parents needing ‘30 hours childcare’ from January 2024 All parents who are working, and have a 3-or 4-year old and want to claim funded extended hours (30 hours childcare), must make sure they have applied to HMRC before the 31 December 2023. All parents with a 30 hours’ code need to make sure their details are up to date. They must do this every three months: https://www.gov.uk/sign-in-childcare-account
